Saint Louis University's Equity in Action Conference
When people feel like they truly belong, they show up more fully, trust grows, and teams thrive. Leadership rooted in compassion and empathy is essential to creating environments where everyone feels seen, valued, and empowered to contribute their best. As leaders, we are responsible for cultivating belonging by deepening our self-awareness, fostering inclusivity, recognizing barriers to belonging, and building trust across differences.
This session will guide participants through a reflective journey to explore who they are as leaders and the impact they want to make. We will examine what gets in the way of building trust across cultural differences and what leaders can do about it. Through deep reflection, meaningful conversation, and actionable strategies, participants will uncover ways to lead authentically, break down barriers to belonging, and cultivate environments where people feel safe, respected, and encouraged to bring their full selves to the workplace.
